What we collect when you shop with us, why we need it, and the control you have over it.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Orbit Max Trading is the data controller for the information described here. Our contact details are at the foot of this page.

2. What we collect

  • Order details: the items you order, quantities and the total.
  • Contact details: your name and phone number, and your email address if you give it.
  • Delivery details: the area and address the order is going to.
  • Anything you send us: messages through the contact or bulk-quote forms, or by phone and WhatsApp.

We do not ask for your date of birth, your card details or your bank passwords, and we do not want them.

3. Why we use it

  • To confirm, pack and deliver your order.
  • To contact you about an order, a delivery or a quotation.
  • To handle refunds, returns and after-sales queries.
  • To keep the sales and tax records a business is required to keep.
  • To keep the website and our service working properly.

4. Cookies

This website sets two cookies of its own: one that remembers your basket while you shop, and a secure sign-in cookie used only for our own staff area.

We do not use them to follow you around the internet.

5. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and never sell your information:

  • Delivery: the driver or courier receives the name, phone number and address needed to complete the delivery.
  • Payments: when you pay by Mobile Money, bank transfer or (once live) card, the payment provider processes that payment and sees what it needs to.
  • The law: where we are required to disclose information by law or a court order.

6. Keeping your information safe

We keep your information on access-controlled systems and share it only as described above. We never store card numbers. When card payment goes live it is handled on the payment provider’s secure systems, not ours.

If a breach ever put your information at risk, we would tell you and the Data Protection Commission.

7. How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet accounting and legal requirements. Enquiries that do not become orders are kept only for as long as needed to answer them.

8. Your rights

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to object to certain uses, and to complain.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version published here at the time you order is the version that applies.
